Authority
I’m not alone and have to integrate myself. As my father did, or another respected figure in my childhood and youth, authority shows me my boundaries. The power of nature is the subject of authority. In any case, I have to face it either way. I have to master the challenge before it overcomes me. If the latter occurs, others will have power over me, either because I let it happen willingly or through violence and force. My spiritual structure is what determines whether my fellow humans respect me or look down on me. The quality of the relationship that I have with others is governed by the respect I show myself as an individual. I also get the same respect from my surroundings. My fellow beings appreciate what lies within me because I appreciate myself. In education and upbringing I make sure that I don’t abuse the respect I’m shown in order to demonstrate my power. I don’t transfer my bad experiences onto my own ways of educational methods but give myself up to the dynamic and openness that children bring into the lives of adults. Through my achievements, my self-assurance and the conviction that I do the right thing, I exude natural authority. It isn’t necessary to show me respect and repute due to hierarchy, force, suppression or violence. I don’t allow myself to be led or repressed by people who have become influential through such methods.
I respect myself.
